Before

Our clients were wanting to update their dining space to make it more family friendly, attractive and low maintenance. The old decking was rotten and dangerous. Additionally the old wooden pergola needed replacing. Finally more shelter was needed so that the space could be used in all weathers.

After

The Decking

At the start of the initial conversations Millboard decking was spoken about due to its long lasting properties.

After viewing samples of Millboard decking, the antique oak finish was chosen for it's high quality and long lasting properties.

Millboard says: "Antique Oak’s natural, warm hues are similar to the tones of tropical hardwood and the appearance is reminiscent of attractively aged flooring."

The pergola

The dark grey aluminium pergola from London Stone was chosen due to the rust and UV resistant frame. Another benefit is the tilting galvanised steel louvres which are operated by a smooth, rotating hand-crank mechanism.

The roof can fully transform from closed to open. It can also be tilted to just the right angle to protect from the glare of the sun while letting the warmth through.
